Description

Delight in creamy Vegan Chocolate Mousse with Raspberry Compote, a luscious dairy-free dessert combining a silky, smooth chocolate mousse with bright, tangy raspberry compote. This easy, no-bake treat uses simple, wholesome ingredients and offers rich texture and vibrant flavors, perfect for vegans and non-vegans alike.

Ingredients

Scale

Mousse

  • 200g Silken Tofu
  • 150g Dairy-Free Dark Chocolate
  • 3 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Raspberry Compote

  • 150g Fresh Raspberries
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Melt the Chocolate
Gently melt your dairy-free dark chocolate over a double boiler or in short bursts in the microwave, stirring frequently until smooth and glossy.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Mousse Base
In a blender or food processor, combine silken tofu, melted chocolate, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Blend until completely smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no lumps. The tofu creates the mousse’s rich texture without any cream.
  3. Step 3: Chill the Mousse
Transfer the mousse into serving glasses or bowls and refrigerate for at least one hour, allowing it to set and develop its luscious texture.
  4. Step 4: Make the Raspberry Compote
While the mousse chills, combine fresh raspberries, lemon juice, maple syrup (optional), and chia seeds in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring gently for about 5-7 minutes until the berries break down and the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let cool.
  5. Step 5: Assemble and Serve
Once the mousse is set, spoon the raspberry compote generously on top or serve on the side for a burst of fresh flavor with every bite.

Notes

  • Use high-quality dairy-free dark chocolate for best flavor and smooth texture.
  • Allow enough chilling time to let the mousse firm up properly.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness to balance natural flavors.
  • For extra fluffiness, gently fold in aquafaba whipped to soft peaks before chilling.
  • For a smoother compote, strain seeds after cooking or blend before cooling.
