Description

The Summer Pink Drink is a refreshing, vibrant beverage perfect for warm sunny days. Combining fresh strawberries, hibiscus tea, coconut milk, and lime juice with a touch of sweetener, this drink balances sweetness and tartness with creamy undertones. Ideal for cooling off by the pool or brightening any summer gathering, it’s light, revitalizing, and easy to prepare with simple, fresh ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (washed, hulled, and sliced or mashed)
  • 2 cups brewed hibiscus tea (cooled)
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 12 teaspoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Brew the Hibiscus Tea – Steep dried hibiscus flowers or hibiscus tea bags in hot water for 5 to 7 minutes until the tea turns a deep red color. Allow it to cool completely before proceeding.
  2. Step 2: Prepare Fresh Strawberries – Wash, hull, and then slice or mash the fresh strawberries to extract their juice and natural sweetness. Reserve a few slices for garnish if desired.
  3. Step 3: Combine Ingredients – In a large pitcher, mix the cooled hibiscus tea, fresh strawberry juice or mash, coconut milk, fresh lime juice, and your chosen sweetener. Stir well until everything is evenly combined.
  4. Step 4: Add Ice and Chill – Fill serving glasses with plenty of ice cubes and pour the Summer Pink Drink over the ice. Stir gently to chill the drink evenly.
  5. Step 5: Garnish and Serve – Garnish with thin slices of fresh strawberries, a wedge of lime on the rim, or a sprig of fresh mint to add a decorative and aromatic touch before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh strawberries and real lime juice for the best flavor.
  • Make sure the hibiscus tea is fully cooled to prevent dilution from melting ice.
  • Adjust the sweetener gradually to balance the sweetness without overpowering the natural fruit flavors.
  • Blend the drink briefly for a smoother, silkier texture if desired.
  • Strain the strawberry mash before mixing if you prefer a pulp-free drink.
