Description

Loaded Bacon Cheeseburger Tacos are a flavorful fusion of classic cheeseburger ingredients wrapped in warm tortillas. Featuring juicy ground beef, melted sharp cheddar, smoky crispy bacon, and fresh crunchy toppings, these tacos offer a quick, customizable, and satisfying meal perfect for weeknights, parties, or comfort food cravings.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat & Cheese

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
  • 68 bacon strips
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Tortillas & Vegetables

  • 8 soft flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup sliced pickles
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion

Condiments & Seasonings

  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Bacon: Fry bacon strips in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess grease, then chop into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Brown the Ground Beef: In the same skillet, add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook over medium-high heat, breaking it apart until no longer pink and nicely browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Melt the Cheese: Reduce the heat to low and sprinkle shredded cheddar over the beef in the skillet. Cover loosely with a lid and let the cheese melt for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Warm the Tortillas: While the cheese melts, warm the flour tortillas on a dry skillet or microwave until soft and pliable, making them easy to fold around the fillings.
  5. Assemble the Tacos: Lay the cheesy beef mixture onto each tortilla, then top with crispy bacon pieces, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, pickles, onions, and your preferred drizzle of ketchup and mustard.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Fold the tacos gently and serve immediately to enjoy that perfect combination of warm, melty, crunchy, and fresh flavors in every bite.

Notes

  • Choose quality meat with a good fat ratio for juicy tacos.
  • Don’t overcook bacon; aim for crispy but not burnt slices.
  • Warm tortillas properly to prevent cracking and facilitate folding.
  • Layer heavier ingredients like beef first to avoid soggy tortillas.
  • Customize condiments by swapping ketchup and mustard for mayo or aioli.
