Ready in under 30 minutes, this comforting and indulgent meal is perfect for cozy weeknights or entertaining guests, blending bold flavors with luscious textures that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1 lb tender steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Alfredo Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg, a pinch
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Pasta and Garnish

  • 8 oz medium or large shell pasta
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare and Cook the Steak Bites: Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt the butter with minced garlic until fragrant. Add the steak bites, season generously with salt and black pepper, and sear until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness. The garlic butter will caramelize around the steak, creating rich flavor.
  2. Cook the Shell Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the shell pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving a small cup of pasta water to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
  3. Make the Parmesan Alfredo Sauce: In a separate pan, combine the heavy cream, minced garlic, and a pinch of nutmeg. Simmer gently until warmed through, then stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth, creamy, and velvety. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Toss the cooked shell pasta into the Alfredo sauce, stirring to coat the shells evenly. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time if the sauce is too thick, to achieve your desired consistency.
  5. Plate and Serve: Arrange the Parmesan Alfredo shells on serving plates, then top generously with the garlic butter steak bites. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley to add color and brightness. Serve immediately for an unforgettable meal.

Notes

  • Use room temperature steak for even searing and tenderness.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan when cooking steak bites; cook in batches if necessary for a perfect crust.
  • Always freshly grate Parmesan cheese for the creamiest Alfredo sauce.
  • Simmer garlic gently in butter to release sweet flavors without burning.
  • Reserve pasta water to thin the Alfredo sauce and help it cling to the pasta.
  • For a lighter sauce, substitute heavy cream with light cream or half-and-half.
